AC Shadows Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine sect.
The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Content
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an special katana alongside multiple objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This patch also brings the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
