Recent Processing Facility Attack Reveals 'Zero Protected Locations in the Russian Deep Rear'
Ukrainian drones have targeted the Russian Bashneft processing plant in Ufa, located around 1,400 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, triggering detonations and a fire, as reported by a source in the Ukrainian intelligence agency.
This constitutes the 3rd intelligence long-range attack in the region in the last month. Those attacks illustrate that there are no safe places in the far hinterland of the Russian state.
Ukrainian President Urges Trump to Facilitate Ceasefire in the Conflict
Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to President Trump to broker peace in Ukraine during a call on Saturday.

In the Russian border region of Belgorod, a lorry operator was killed by a Ukrainian strike, as stated by municipal sources.
Power Restoration Work in the Capital
Operations continued on Saturday to repair energy infrastructure in the Ukrainian capital, after Russian attacks.
Electricity had been returned to more than 800,000 inhabitants by Saturday and the biggest utility provider announced the key efforts to recover electricity was concluded though certain disruptions continued.
Air Defence Actions and Drone Interceptions
The Ukrainian anti-aircraft systems intercepted or jammed 54 out of seventy-eight Russian drones sent towards the country during the night, the aerial defense command said on Saturday.
Russia's military authorities claimed it eliminated 42 enemy drones over its own soil.
Cuban Government Refutes Allegations of Sending Soldiers to the War
Cuba on the weekend denied US claims it has provided military personnel to engage in the Ukraine war, while stating officials in Havana "do not have precise details about Cuban nationals" involved "on their own" or "as part of the armed units of the conflicting parties".
The foreign ministry in the capital announced twenty-six Cubans had been convicted to incarceration from 5 to 14 years for mercenary involvement since September 2023 when information spread of Cuban nationals being dispatched to the battlefield in Ukraine.
Surrender Initiative Project Reports Details on Cuban Recruitment
The surrender initiative, a official Kyiv initiative that encourages adversaries to surrender, reported in May: "Our information indicates the identities and information of over a thousand individuals who signed contracts with the Russian military in 2023-2024."
