The goalkeeper Not a save required in the first half before tested by an opponent's curled attempt. His sliding challenge against an Albanian attacker showed sharp anticipation. 6/10

The defender Moved forward when in possession, as he has done in the past. On occasion seemed hesitant when carrying play with the tactic discontinued after the break. Six
Dan Burn Always dangerous at set pieces, as always, could serve as an alternative to Stones at the back instead of paired with him. A careless distribution after the break came close to the first goal for Albania. 6/10
The young full-back Another composed display by the youngster following his initial appearance versus another side. A teammate did not capitalize on the opportunity from an exquisite touch behind the Albania defence. His position looks secure already. 7
The newcomer A debut start with the national team. Somewhat sloppy on the ball but his whipped corners caused problems. A handy pace-controller for the boss to utilize against sides that sit back. Cautioned for a poorly timed challenge. 6
The midfielder Crosses on corner kicks and set-plays created chances. Enjoyed room to move in left midfield only to be offside as the pass came with a chance to score. Granted a well-earned break around the 60-minute point. 6
The star midfielder Functioned in a forward position down the right and also put in defensive duties. Showed flashes of quality but scuffed an attempt over. Withdrawn in the closing stages by a teammate, his rival, after receiving a caution. Seven
Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s clearest opportunity before halftime, his shot well saved by the Albanian keeper. With Quansah hanging back, it fell to him to offer an outlet on the right but his crosses from wide areas were hit and miss. Replaced with 15 to go. 6
The captain The difference-maker scoring two more finishes in an England shirt. The first a classic close-range tap-in and the second an excellent headed goal following a clever run away from the opposition. Aged 32, he’s only getting better with the national team stand a real opportunity next summer when he's in the team. 8
Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to make an impact out wide. Was presented with a presentable chance when set up by Bellingham however Strakosha kept it out. His replacement produced a bigger influence in his place. Five
